Wind power - the main growth driver
    Wind power (on shore and offshore) accounts for close to 90% of EDF Energies Nouvelles' total installed capacity at 30 June 2010.
Solar power - the second growth driver
    Solar photovoltaic energy is experiencing strong growth. EDF Energies Nouvelles is stepping up the pace of its expansion in this segment.
Distributed energies - a promising market
    EDF ENR offers a range of eco-energy efficiency equipments and services in renewable energy to individual customers.
Emerging technologies - selective investments
   

Biomass: EDF Energies Nouvelles develops biomass plants projects, using agricultural and forestry byproducts as fuel.
Biofuels: The Company has entered the biofuels market through a partnership with AlcoGroup, a specialist in the production and the distribution of ethanol-fuel.
Biogas: Verdesis and Beacon Landfill Gas Holdings are EDF EN’ subsidiaries for harnessing energy from biogas.
Marine energy: EDF Energies Nouvelles plans to support the development of wave energy projects, in the northern hemisphere and on Reunion Island.


Hydro power - the original area of expertise
    Micro hydro power is the first technology in which the company developed know-how. EDF Energies Nouvelles operates facilities with about 130 MW in installed capacity in France and in Bulgaria.
